Dr Ankita Singh
Medical Doctor & Philanthropist
Dr. Ankita Singh is a medical doctor who specializes with internal medicine. She is also very involved with philanthropy and charity work.
Dr. Singh grew up in India, where she learned from a very young age the true value of education, hard work, and perseverance. Her native language is Hindi and during her childhood, yoga and meditation played a very positive role in her life.
Early on, Dr. Singh knew that she had a passion for health and medicine. She found herself constantly reading journals, news, and articles involving healthcare, so when she was accepted to a highly prestigious medical school in India, she was obviously thrilled. Medicine is very competitive in India, so this was a great achievement.
After medical school Dr. Singh was working for a hospital when she met her future husband, and her life took a turn by immigrating to the United States. In the USA, she volunteered for hospitals while she took the board exams, and then took a residency position at the University of Toledo. Currently, Dr. Singh is a hospitalist and is double board certified in both family medicine and obesity medicine.
When she isn’t practicing medicine, Dr. Singh is very active with philanthropy both in her community and with local non-profits and with her scholarship fund. She donates her time and funding to organizations such as Food for Thought Toledo, Cherry Street Mission, and Bethany House. Her scholarship fund launched in early 2022 helps students who are studying to become a doctor with funding towards their education.
